Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the control of heater current, by applying symmetrical AC voltage to the heat sensing layer and applying AC voltage to the contact of relay.
CONSTITUTION: When the power switch 35 is closed, AC current flows in the circuit of the heat sensing layer 5, resistor 6 and variable resistor 7. Further, the voltage applied to the heat sensing layer 5 is half-wave-rectified 10 and fed to the base of the transistor Tr 8. The load resistors 12, 13 of Tr 8 have greater resistance value to increase the input impedance of Tr 8. Accordingly, the voltage waveform fed to the heat sensing layer 5 is symmetrical AC voltage waveform. In the comparator 18, the voltage dividing the output of Tr 18 with the resistors 12 and 13 is fed to one input terminal, and half-wave rectified voltage for the AC power supply 9 with the diode 14 is smoothed and that divided with the resistors 16 and 17 is fed as the reference voltage. Further, the comparator 18 compares the both voltages, the conduction of Tr 24 is controlled with the output to control the operation of the relay 3 having the contact 2. Thus, the heating current of the heater 1 is controlled.
