Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent damage of the corner of a separator in a battery by adding flexible polyurethane to polyacetal copolymer to thereby enhance the elasticity of port sealing gasket, the airtightness of a sealed port. CONSTITUTION:A battery is formed by pressing to fix an anode active material 2 containing essentially silver oxide into a cylindrical case 1 with a bottom of conductor such as metal or the like, providing a cathode active meterial 4 mixed with mercuric zinc powder and gelation agent via a separate therebetween, and sealing a metal port sealing plate 5 as a cathode terminal via a gasket 6 is formed with a mixture obtained by adding flexible polyurethane to polyacetal copolymer polymerized with polyoxyethylene and cyclic ether. It is preferable to mix less than 40 wt% of polyacetal copolymer with respect to the mixed amount of polyurethane.
