Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the charge-and-discharge reversibility by using silver oxide and silver as positive active materials and adding to this a conductive agent such as lead dioxide. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 1 of silver oxide is put into a positive-electrode can 2, and a separator 3 is placed on that. A negative-electrode can 4 is provided with a negative electrode 5 consisting of, for instance, a zinc layer 6 and a zinc- oxide layer 7. The opening between the positive-electrode can 2 and the negative- electrode can 4 is hermetically sealed by laying a circular gasket 8 having a L- shaped cross-section between them, and the whole consitutes a button-type secondary-battery. The positive electrode 1 of such a secondary batter is made by mixing positive active materials silver oxide and silver are used and a conductive agent not less than one substance of lead dioxide, stannic oxide and bismuth trioxide is/are used to make a mixture powder and by pressing and moulding this (for example, 200mg of silver-oxide powder, 10mg of silver powder and 20mg of lead dioxide are mixed to make a mixture powder). The additioning amount of the conductive agent preferably should be 5-20pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. of silver oxide 25.
