Abstract
PURPOSE:To simply, economically improve the antiseizing property, by irradiating the high energy density heat source (laser for instance) on the outer surface of the parts for forming the high hard protuberance placing an interval. CONSTITUTION:The specifically shaped parts 1 is moved to the left and the right by the rack 17 and the pinion 18, while being rotated by the turning jig 13. On the other hand, the beam 11 being generated by the laser generator 10 is irradiated on the outer surface of the parts 1 through the mirror system 12. The spot 2, being irradiated by this high energy density heat source, is hardened and is transformed into the martensite causing expansion; as a result, the ring type hard pro-tuberances 2 are formed placing an equal interval, so that the labyrinth grooves are formed between the adjoining protuberances 2. By this method, the labyrinth groove can be simply, rapidly formed without depending on the machining work. This method is appropriate for improving the antiseizing property of the hydraulic valve's spool, the cylinder's piston, etc.
