て、前記円形断面部材をその中心軸がレーザー光線の光
軸に対して垂直になるように回転装置に取付け一定速度
で回転すると共に中心軸方向に移動しつつレーザー光線
を該部材の外周部に照射する第1工程と、前記円形断面
部材の回転および中心軸方向の移動を反対方向として第
1工程と同様にレーザー光線を照射する第2工程と、前
記焼入硬化した摺動部材を研磨する工程と、を有して成
ることを特徴とする耐焼付き性に優れた摺動部材の製造
方法。

ても焼付きを起すことがきわめて少いのが特徴である。

酷な条件下において使用される摺動部材として優れた効
果を発揮することができる。
