Abstract

PURPOSE:To accelerate the ink type recording speed and simplify the mechanical construction in a method of recording picture by supplying ink to the rectilinear opening of a member having piezo-electric effect and disposing a back electrode on the back of a recording paper faced oppositely thereto to thus impart vibration to the member. CONSTITUTION:The voltage between an electrode on the back of recording paper and ink is so set that ink at the opening of a slit 5 is attracted toward a drum 7 but does not reach the surface of a recording paper 8 and does not yet separate from the ink in the slit 5. When electrostrictive vibrators 91-92 are simultaneously energized by pulses in this state, pulse wave-like vibration is propagated along the slit 5 toward an elastic member 4 to thereby propagate an electrolysis so as to move plus potential (polarized charge) along the side surface of a slit 5 with the result that the plus potential of the ink exposed with the slit 5 is raised in pulse state to thereby propagate this state along the slit 5. Accordingly, ink is raised in slit state by the opening of the slit 5 to cause the raised ink to move along the slit 5.
