Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform a high speed printing without mechanically movable part by a method wherein ink oil drops are fed on a propagation path of supersonic traveling waves and the ink oil drops are transported by power of supersonic waves. CONSTITUTION:A driving electrode 7 is prepared at an end part of an elastic body, an alternating voltage is applied to it and a reciprocal deformation to make the wire diameter to be thick and fine is performed to generate traveling waves to the direction shown with an arrow mark. Ink oil drops are applied to the wire, and the drops are made to transfer corresponding with the transference of deformation. Another method is also available wherein an elastic surface wave mode is generated on a base plate 8 having a piezoelectric character by an interdigitated electrode 9 to generate traveling surface waves, ink oil drops are dropped on the surface and are made to transfer by power of surface waves, etc. When the ink oil drop reaches to the required position, a transverse power is applied to stick the ink to a recording paper.
