Abstract

PURPOSE: To lessen the load burden of the power source by lifting and lowering the roller alone, without lifting and lowering the table frame at the tilting table operation of a rolling mill.
CONSTITUTION: In the mechanism, guide frame 12 and brackets 18 and 20 are fixedly attached; each roller 2 having reversible motor is installed on each guide rod 13; and each guide rod is lifted and lowered, moving distances thereof are differed in the sequence of arrangement, by the link mechanism consisting of rod 14 and arm 16 being actuated by the cylinder 19, and arms 15W14, length of each is different according to the sequential position of arrangement. In the rolling operation, materials to be rolled are induced to path line II from the line I thru the middle and lower stages of 3H mill under the condition where all of the rollers 2 are maintained horizontal by positioning the piston of the cylinder 19 at its extreme left. Then, the piston is moved to the extreme right making each roller aligned on the path line III, and the materials are fed to the line IV thru the upper and middle stages of the 3H mill.
