Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetoelectric conversion element by radiating energy to a part of the thin film of a compound semiconductor, forming a lead connecting electrode through conductibility and connecting it to an external lead through conductive resin.
CONSTITUTION: Particularly III-V group compound semiconductor or InSb thin film 1 for example is made conductive by radiating flashlight through Xe lamp by means of a mask for which Cr is spattered on a glass plate, thereby forming a lead connecting electrode 2 and a magnet sensing zone 1. Next, lead wire 3 is bonded by means of a normal conductive resin 4. Together with a substrate 5 of ferrite or glass, they are covered with a protective film 6 of epoxy resin or smething like that. This constitution may allow the lead connecting electrode 2 and the compound semiconductor 1 to come fairly in ohmic contact each other and also to be connected to the external lead without impairing the characteristics, thus ensuring high sensitivity, high reliability and simple process for manufacturing.
