Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the resonant frequency versus temperature characteristics and to increase the Q value of the oscillation, by using torsional oscillation to the diapason type crystal oscillator, and selecting the cut out angle of crystal piece within a given range, with different distance between two diapason rods for the crossing and tip. CONSTITUTION:The distance of the diapason arms of the diapason type crystal oscillator main body 11 is made different for the tip and the crossing. This oscillator is cut out from the crystal plate having the plane in the XY' turning by an angle of theta around the X-axis, by taking the electric axis, mechanical axis and light axis of crystal raw ore as X, Y and Z axis respectively. In this crystal plate, the center line of one diapason arm is tilted by phi1 and the center line of another is tilted by DELTAphi1 to it, and the range of the absolute value DELTAphi1 is taken as 2 to 6 deg..
