Abstract
PURPOSE:To electrically couple both faces of the cathode collector and active material with each other without unevenness on the surface of the collector by pressing and rotating the active material coaxially against the cathode collector. CONSTITUTION:A disk-shaped lithium is placed on the cathode collector fixed by a suitable means, pressed and rotated by the rotary rod at a proper pressure. The lithium produces a variation on its surface and inner layer due to a fiction between contacting faces, internal fresh lithium is developed on the surface and attached to the cathode collector. When fresh lithium is pressed against other metal, it becomes attached like soldering. In this way, both faces of the cathode collector and active material can be electrically coupled.
