Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent brazing defect owing to expanded wetting phenomenon produced on the end faces of joints by forming the working grooves having the same plane as that of the end face of one joint circumferential edge part on the other joint bonding face.
CONSTITUTION: Such working grooves 9 having the same plane as that of the end edge of the circumferential part of an upper plate constituting the joint are provided on the bonding face of a lower plate 2. At the time of brazing, the working grooves 9 prevent braze 5 from forming fillet and since the expanded wetting phenomenon at the end face of the joint does not make preference to the phenomenon spreading in the spacing between the joints, the braze 5 is evenly filled in the spacing between the joints. This joint structure readily prevents brazing defects and enables the brazed joints of high quality to be obtained.
