Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce the reset signal correctly even if the power supply is ON or OFF in insufficient manner, by adding a circuit detecting the power supply voltage drop. CONSTITUTION:When the power supply circuit 7 outputs the voltage Vdd, the transistor 9 is turned on with the voltage developed across the resistor 8 via the Zener element 7a and resistor 7b, and the collector is at L potential. This signal is inputted to the NAND gate after inversion 11. Accordingly, the reset signal fed to the control system from the inverter 13 is at H and the control system normally operates. When Vdd falls down and the transistor 9 is turned off, the output signal from the collector is at H potential and it is fed to the NAND gate 12 after inversion 11. As a result, the reset signal of L potential is outputted from the inverter 13 until Vdd reaches a given value. Accordingly, the control system can be initialized completely even if Vdd is ON or OFF insufficiently.
