Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce gear noise and wear by providing a smooth meshing of gears in a speed change gear for industrial vehicles with a shift fork fitted slidably in a shift fork block through a spring. CONSTITUTION:One end of a shift fork 5 is connected to a coupling sleeve 4 mounted on the hub 2 of a main shaft 1 and the other end of same is slidably fitted on a shift fork block 7 in the tubular fitting portion through a spring 13. When the shift fork block 7 is shifted towards a backward gear 24, the coupling sleeve 4 engages smoothly a clutch gear 26 as they have same speed. If not same speed, only shift fork block 7 advances flexing the spring 13 and engages the clutch gear 26 when they have same speed. The change-over is completed when the coupling sleeve 4 is shifted towards the clutch gear 24 by the elastic force of the spring 13.
