Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate operation, by eliminating the need for adjusting a location of a reflection optical system by changing the wavelength of infrared rays by exchanging light sources and an interference filter while light passing through the interference filter is condensed by means of the reflection optical system and sent to a detector. CONSTITUTION:The light R of light sources 11 or 12 exchange selected in respone to the kinds of oil or oily matter is reflected by means of a concave mirror 21, and guided to a simple liquid tank 50 through a standard plate 40 for correction and a chopper 31. Light from the sample liquid tank 50 permeates an interference filter 60 exchange selected in response to the kinds of oil or oily matter, and monochromatic light with specified wavelength is introduced to a detector 70. Thus, the adjustment of a location of a reflector optical system is unnecessary and the concentration of oil over wide ranges can accurately be measured in conditions that operation is easy, structure is simple and the cost of production is inexpensive even if the light sources 11, 12 and the interference filter 60 are exchanged in response to oil or oily matter and the wavelength of infrared rays is altered.
