Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to lessen radio noises while setting a control temperature to a desired temperature easily at low cost, by varying a switch-temperature- adjusting gate resistance connected to the gate of heat-sensitive SCR.
CONSTITUTION: Forward break-over voltage VBO across SCR7 falls according to a rise in temperature and at the temperature where this voltage VBO becomes equal to a voltage applied between the anode and cathode of SCR7, SCR7 turns ON. Next, when the detection temperature of SCR7 is low and voltage VBO is greater than the sum of the forward rising voltage of diode block 6 and the gate-cathode rising voltage of reverse-blocking type three-terminal SCR5, triac 9 turns ON in the phase where AC power voltage 1 nearly becomes equal to the sum of those rising voltages, supplying load 2 with electric power. In order to lessen radio noises as much as possible, the forward rising voltage of block 6 is reduced as much as possible and triac 9 is enabled to turn ON with a low applied voltage.
