Abstract
PURPOSE:To appropriately adjust the amount of adhered plating Zn without sticking Zn splash on the other apparatus, by jetting the gas for excess zinc wiping in the tangential direction of roll in the range of contacting with deflector roll, on occasion of converting the steel strip plated molten Zn etc. in the upper direction by the deflector roll. CONSTITUTION:The continuous steel strip 3 is entered the plating apparatus 1 of non-oxidative gas atmosphere through the sealing apparatus 5 after heat-treating by the heat treatment furnace 4 and hot dipping is applied on the one face of the strip 3 by the molten Zn jetting apparatus 7. Next, compressed air is jetted from the nozzle 9 on the tangential line of the deflector roll 10 at a horizontal position extended the line contacting with the roll 10 or more upper part than that in the direction facing against moving direction of the strip 3, on occasion of switching in the vertical direction by the guide roll 11. Excess molten Zn is blown off by blowing the above compressed air and also, the roll 10 or the apparatus 7, is not contaminated by the splash of blown molten Zn and Zn is not included in non-plated face of the strip.
