Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration of air fuel ratio of an internal combustion engine equipped with an automatic transmission at the time of gear range conversion, by controlling an auxiliary fuel passage by means of negative pressure and change-gear switches.
CONSTITUTION: A float chamber 6 of a carburetor 1 and a suction pipe 2 downstream of a trottle valve 8 is communication with each other through an auxiliary fuel passage 12 equipped with a solenoid valve 14. The suction pipe 2 is equipped with a negative pressure switch 16 which is turned on or off by virtue of negative pressure, the switch 16 being in series with a change-gear switch 24 interlocking with a selecting lever 23 and connected with the solenoid valve 14. When negative pressure is high at the time of idling, a switch 16b is turned on and the change-gear switch 24 is turned on if the lever 23 is in the N-range to open the solenoid valve 14. Fuel supply is then increased through the passage 12.
