Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a heat exchanging efficiency by a method wherein a material for fins is divided into a plurality of portions having small width and respective divided portions are bent into opposing directions each other to make a reticulate configuration while a reticulate core is formed by welding the fins to flattened pipes.
CONSTITUTION: Dividing lines consisting of long cutting portions 6 and short cutting portions 7 having constant lengthes respectively in a lengthwise direction thereof are provided in a hooplike material of fins in several rows and same phases and a reticulate fin 5 is formed by bending narrow paper tablet-shaped portions between the two lines of the cutting portion 6 into opposing directions each other. Protruding portions 9, 9a of the fin 5 are abutted against a pair of flattened pipes 3, 3 coated with semidried bonding resin beforehand on flat surfaces thereof, thereafter, the fin member and the flattened pipes are heated to adhere them. According to this constitution, there will never be an interference of heat transmission due to interposing of thick bonding agent on a bonding surface of the flattened pipe and contacting surfaces with air will be distributed on an average due to the configuration of the fin, thereby, an efficiency may be improved.
