Abstract

PURPOSE:To separate a synchronizing signal correctly by detecting the maximum and minimum of a signal and by using the difference voltage of this detected voltage as an AGC voltage for a signal amplifier. CONSTITUTION:A video signal applied to input terminal 20 is amplified by amplifier A and positive and negative peaks are detected by peak detecting circuit B. The positive peak voltage is inverted and amplified by OP amplifier 40 and the negative peak voltage is added by OP amplifier 41 to obtain a difference between the positive and negative peak voltage. This difference voltage is fed back to the initial stage of amplifier A for AGC. Consequently, even when a video signal differing in data contents is input, the reference potential of comparator 26 is set to a voltage depending upon the constant voltage dividing ratio of signal amplitude all the time and signal separation comes into effect with precision.
