Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover cracked gas effectively without environmental pollution, by carburizing waste such as PVC coated waste wires in a heating treatment chamber of horizontal inclined rotation type under steam atmosphere, and continously discharging the carbonized material through the mesh part provided in the rear end of the heating treatment chamber. CONSTITUTION:PCV coated waste wires are introduced into a horizontal rotary type heating treatment chamber 4 from a charge inlet 1 through a lift conveyor 3, and are lifted by protrusions 5 in the inner wall of the treatment chamber and dropped off and transferred to the rear end. In this cource, the synthetic resin coatings are heated, under superheated steam from a steam supply device 12, by means of a heating device 6 outside the treatment chamber, and are separated into carbonized material and cracked gas. The former is transferred onto the mesh 7, and dropped into a carbonized material treating facility 8 to form a carbonized material layer 9, and is discharged through a rotary valve 10. The latter is discharged from the discharge port 13 together with the steam. As a result, the copper wires stripped of carbonized material covering are passed through a passage 14, and dropped onto a conveyor 15.
