Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve an impregnating property, by dividing conductor layers in the radial direction of a coil and appropriately inserting a porous insulator and duct pieces in between the layers so that the duct pieces are placed in contact with the porous insulator and a resin duct is formed. CONSTITUTION:An insulating tape 7 is wound around a coil 2 provided around an insulating resin pipe 1. A polyester mat 8a and duct pieces 8b are arranged between the layers of the coil 2 so that the duct pieces are located at appropriate intervals. The coil is then preheated so that resin is impregnated under vacuum. The resin is heated to be hardened. The coil has a very good impregnating property. The molded coil excels in electrical, mechanical and thermal properties and is manufactured under a low cost.
