PURPOSE:To enable to satisfy any of the electrical, mechanical and thermal characteristics of the subject insulated coil by a method wherein a specific insulation layer is formed on each of the rectilinear part, the curvilinear part and the intermediate part of the insulated coil. CONSTITUTION:In the insulated coil 1 consisting of the rectilinear part and the cirvilinear part, an insulated layer 2 of the rectilinear part has such constitution that a tape or a sheet-type insulating material is partially or entirely wound around the rectilinear part. Also, a curvilinear layer 4 is constituted in such a manner that an insulating material, whereon a surface resin process is performed on a highly airtight thick insulating layer or a tape or sheet-type insulating layer, is provided. Besides, the intermediate insulator layer 3, astriding over the layers 2 and 4, is constituted in such a manner that a tape shaped insulating material, having an excellent permeability of resin and some resin holding property, is wound therearound.
