Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a conductor amount and a size of a device with a reduced outer diameter of a winding by varying a thickness of an insulation layer disposed between adjacent winding layers in response to the interlayer voltage at the various sections along the axial direction of the winding.
CONSTITUTION: AN insulated covering winding conductor W is turned by a predetermined turn number in the axial direction of the winding to form coaxially a plurality of winding layers 4A to 4C. The adjacent winding layers 4A and 4B, and 4B and 4C come into contact with each other in a turned portion 51 and 52 respectively, and a resin impregnated glass tape or the like are disposed between the layers 4A and 4B, 4C and 4B. In such a construction, the insulation strength of interlayer insulation layer 61 and 62 having a most intensive potential difference between the adjacent winding layers is raised remarkably while the potential strength of the interlayers in the most weak is made low. Namely, the thickness of the insulation layer 61 between the winding layers 4A and 4B is made thin at the portion near the turned portion 51 while the other portions are made thick. The same applies also to the insulation between layers 4B and 4C.
