Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively obtain a sufficient pump capacity by circularly drilling many through cylinder holes in a pump cylinder of a swash plate type hydraulic pump wherein a pair of pump plungers are slid in the face of each cylinder hole.
CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic stepless transmission T consists of a fixed displacement swash plate type hydraulic pump P and a variable displacement swash plate type hydraulic motor M. The hydraulic pump P has an input shaft 2 at the left end and a pump cylinder 4 at the right end from which a supporting rod 3 extends. Many staged through cylinder holes 7 are circularly drilled in the cylinder 4 wherein a pair of large and small sized pump plungers 9l, 9r is slid in the face of each cylinder hole 7 between which a pump oil chamber 7A is disposed. A compression spring 11 is placed between each pair of plungers. Each plunger contacts with swash plates 24l, 24r which are opposed to its one external end and supported by a motor cylinder 12.
