Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep the balance of load of a port block by providing a mechanical seal in the port block in the central part of the end surface for the slidable contact with a housing, as well as a pressure chamber on the opposed side of the outer- peripheral surface for the slidable contact with the housing.
CONSTITUTION: The thrust force F1 from a high-pressure-side piston 4 and the pressing force F2 from a push rod 8 act on a cylinder block 5 and these forces are transmitted to the end surface of a port block through the intermediary of a valve plate 6. As for the component in the axial direction of these forces expressed by a formula [F1+F2]cosθ, the hydraulic counter-force F5 is generated on the end surface of the port block 3 by introducing the high-pressure oil from a high-pressure passage 15 into a seal 17 and by this force the force of the component in the axial direction is offset. As for the component in the radiate direction expressed as [F1+ F2]sinθ, hydraulic counterforces F3 and F4 are generated on the outer-peripheral surface of the port block 3 by introducing the high-pressure oil from the high-pressure passage 15 into pressure chambers 18 and 19, and thereby the force of the component in the radiate direction is offset.
