Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain excellent operation of the heat exchanger and to prevent the mixing of high- and low-temperature fluids by attaching wet asbestos tape to the contact surface of each component plate of the partition wall.
CONSTITUTION: Asbestos tape 10 is arranged on the contact surface of a component plate 5 of a partition wall, and a heating pipe 2 is set in a groove 15. The groove 15 is so made that the heating pipe 2 is inclined to the high-temperature gas side in order to allow the working fluid packed in the heat pipe to flow smoothly. After the heat pipe 2 is mounted, another asbestos tape which is hydrated, is arranged on it, and another component plate is mounted on this. The operation is repeated to form a partition wall through which the heat pipes 2 are inserted. Reinforcements 11 are arranged to both side ends of the partition wall in order to hold each component plate tightly by using bolts 12. In addition, another reinforcements 13 are arranged, and spot-welded. Thus, the airtightness can be improved, and the mixing of two fluids which perform heat exchange with each other can be prevented.
