Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the exchanger and at the same time improve the thermal efficiency by a construction wherein ring-shape air and gas passages are formed radially alternately and the intake and exhaust parts of the air and those of the gas are opened at nearly the same side respectively. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of cylindrical partition walls with different diameters 11 are arranged concentrically and nearly in equi-spaced relation to form the ring- shape air and gas passages 12 and 13 divided radially one in the other. Both the passages 12 and 13 are divided into the upper stream sides and the down stream sides by inserting radially a partition plate 14 pierced the walls at one radius not to cause the mixing of the hot part and the cold part of the air or the gas. Heat transmitting fins 15 are provided between the partition walls 11. The intake parts 12a and the exhaust parts 12b of the air passages 12 are opened at nearly the same location of the upper end surface with the partition plate 14 between both parts 12a and 12b. On the other hand, the intake parts 13a and the exhaust 13b of the gas passages 13 are opened at nearly the same location of the lower end surface with the partition plate 14 between both parts 13a and 13b.
