Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor thermosensitive, recording material noticeably improved in the preservability of the recorded material and the clearness of the color-developed image by having the alkylene oxide adduct of the straight-chain glycol present in the low temperature thermosensitive color-developed layer and/or between the high and low temperature color-developed layers. CONSTITUTION:The high temperature thermosensitive color-developed layer 2 and the low temperature thermosensitive color-developed layer 3 are piled in sequence on the support body 1 made of paper or the like and a color eliminator 7 made up of the alkylene oxide adduct of the straight chain glycol is present in the layer 3 and/or between the layers 2 and 3 to form a multicolor recording material. The color developing component of the layer 2 uses a colorless or pale leuco-dye and the phenolic substance or acid substance and the alkylene oxide adduct of the straight chain glycol as shown by the formula is provided as the color eliminator. For the compound of this formula, for example, the ethylene oxide undergoes a 2mol additive reaction with the straight chain alcohol in which R represents the straight- chain alkyl group. The recording material is free from fog and suitable for obtaining the highly clear image of the color developed image respectively in the low and high temperature ranges.
