Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize communication, by turning on the reception request of a high- speed MODEM with fixed-time delay after turning off a low-speed MODEM transmission request in case that two MODEMs different in modulation system and transmission speed are connected to the same line. CONSTITUTION:Control signals 14 and 16 are transmitted to low-speed MODEM modulator 1 and low-speed MODEM demodulator 5 respectively from MODEM control part 30 to request transmission and reception, and control signals 15 and 17 are transmitted to high-speed MODEM modulator 2 and high-speed MODEM demodulator 6 respectively to request transmission and reception. Output signals of modulators 1 and 2 are transmitted to line 9 through mixing part 3 and filter attenuator equalizer part 4, and the receiving part is connected to demodulator 5, AGC circuit part 7 and demodulator 6 through filter equalizer paet 8. Then, after turning off signal 14, signal 17 is turned on after the time for sufficient attenuation of circulating components of output signal 41 of modulator 1 into the high-speed MODEM receiving part elapses. As a result, receiving impossibility dependent upon degradation of the receiving sensitivity for the operation of circuit 7 can be prevented to stabilize communication.
