Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a stable single-stage voltage, by covering an AgO positive electrode molded body with a reducing metal foil or the like and causing said covered electrode molded body to contact with a metallic casing. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode current collector 8 is formed with a foil or plate of a metal capable of reducing AgO, for example, a silver foil or thin silver plate. The collector 8 covers completely a positive electrode molded body 7 containing AgO as a main active material at the inner surface which is in contact with a positive electrode casing 1. It is preferred to use, as the above-described metal capable of reducing AgO, zinc or lead besides silver. In the above structure, it is possible to stabilize easily and surely the output of the battery to a single-stage voltage.
