Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately control a processing speed as a prescribed quantity of a processed material remains just before the end of rewinding, by detecting a winding diameter, winding thickness, etc. in a rewinding process with a coil processing machine and performing calculation for the speed on the basis of the detected values.
CONSTITUTION: A touch bar 3 is kept in contact with the surface of a processed material under prescribed pressure since the material is set on a rewinder. The diameter of the processed material is measured in terms of the quantity of the displacement of the touch bar 3. The measurement of the diameter through the touch bar is always effected by a measuring counter 21. The thickness of the processed material is detected by a measuring circuit 11, a memory circuit 12 and a detection circuit 13. The quantity of the processed material remaining on the rewinder is calculated by the measuring circuit 11, the detection circuit 13 and a setting unit 16. Pulses from a pulse oscillator 15 are sampled by a clock pulse generation circuit 8 to determine the rotational frequency of the rewinder by another measuring counter 7. The moving velocity of the processed material is calculated by a speed computation circuit 20 on the basis of the results of said detection, calculation and measurement and the diameter of the material measured by the counter 21. This results in enabling precise speed reduction control in the range of a prescribed remaining quantity.
