Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately perform the detection of flaws and marking by digitally operating the position of flaws.
CONSTITUTION: Rolls 1 are so provided as to make contact with an object 14 which is moving in the predetermined passage. A pulse generator 2 which is mounted on the extenion of the revolving axis of the rolls 1 generates the pulses of the number proportional to the moving speeds of the object 14. A speed detector 5 generates the digital speed signal indicating the speed of the moving object according to the pulses from the pulse generator 2. A flaw detector 3 is provided in the downstream side position of the rolls 1 and a marker 4 is provided in the downstream side position of a flaw detector 3. The digital speed signal from the speed detector 5 and the flaw detection signal from the flaw detector 3 are applied to an input unit 8. The output of the input unit 8 operates the marker 4 through the output unit 12.
