Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the position, speed and acceleration of a moving body accurately and easily by performing arithmetic processing dealing with a count output, by fixedly providing the moving body with a signal generator which generates a detection signal every time the moving body passes by one of bodies to be detected arranged at equal intervals along the movement line of the moving body.
CONSTITUTION: Many bodies to be detected are provided at intervals K along the movement line of moving body 1, and every time moving body 1 passes by body 2 to be detected, signal generator 3 fixed to moving body 1 is allowed to generate detection signal 4. Detection signal 4 is counted by reversible counter 5, which outputs position signal 6. Counter 13 counting signal 12 from clock signal generator 11 is reset with reset signal 10 via timing generating circuit 7 every time moving body 1 moves by distance K, so that speed signal 15 will be outputted from register 14. Substracting circuit 17 finds the difference between speed signals of registers 14 and 16 to output acceleration signal 18. Thus, the position, speed and acceleration of moving body 1 can be detected accurately and easily.
