CONSTITUTION:A pulse voltage is applied to a space where the tip of a wire electrode 1 and a work 5 are opposed to each other. During a discharge operation, the wire electrode 1 is guided through a horn 10 to allow the wire electrode 1 to be supplied stably. The horn 10 is provided at an end portion of an oscillator 8 so as to be subjected to ultrasonic oscillation. When the electrode wire 1 is passed through the horn 10, ultrasonic oscillation is applied thereto in a direction parallel to the axis thereof. The ultrasonic oscillation works on the tip of the wire electrode 1.
