PURPOSE:To improve the life of an electrode and to improve the cutting quality by respectively connecting the electrode of a cutting torch to the minus terminal of a cutting power source and the constraint nozzle of the cutting torch to the plus terminal of the cutting power source. CONSTITUTION:The electrode 15 of a cutting torch is connected to the minus of a cutting power source 14. The constraint nozzle 16 of the cutting torch is connected to the plus terminal of the cutting power source 14. The generation of an arc between the constraint nozzle 16 and the material 18 to be cut is thus prevented. With such composition, the life of an electrode is improved, the cutting quality is improved and the safety in working can be realized.
