Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit an injector to be applicable to several types of battery case, by using a mold constituted with two mold halves, which are unsymmetrical, when a junction between each two adjacent cells is molded with a resin. CONSTITUTION:Electrode plate groups 2, 2' are placed in mutually adjacent single battery cells respectively. Electrode terminals 3, 3' of the electrode plate groups 2, 2' are welded and connected together through a cut-out portion of a partition wall 4. In order to avoid any leakage of the electrolyte through the junction of said terminals 3, 3', a resinous mold is formed by using a mold 9. In shaping the resinous mold 7, the mold halves are mounted in place from both sides and their center is alighed with the center of the partition wall 4. The mold halves 9 are formed unsymmetrical so as to permit the mold to shape a good resinous mold 7 with a common injector even if the thickness of the partition wall 4 differs from a type of battery cases to another type of battery cases.
