Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the handleability of cell by providing slibably a connection ring to be connected with an adjascent insulating case on the outside of the upper or lower part of an insulating cylindrical case. CONSTITUTION:The cell 10 consists of the insulating cylindrical case 30 and the connection ring 40 attached slidably to the outside of the lower part of the case 30. In connecting two cells 10 in series in the lengthwise direction, a pair of the cells 10 and 10' are stacked vertically in place, the connection ring 40 attached slidably to the outside of the lower part of the cell 10 located on the upper side is slided downwardly, the annular projection 41 provided to the connection ring 40 is fitted into the annular concave groove 34' formed in the outside of the upper part of the cell 10' located at the lower side, and the other annular projection 42 is fitted into the annular groove 35 of the cell 10. The outside diameter of the insulating cylindrical case is preferably made to meet the dimensions of the usual type cells.
