Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the amorphous metal thin strip of less undulations and variations in thickness to be produced by providing a molten metal blow nozzle above a revolving roller for rapid cooling and opposedly disposing a revolving roller for rolling to this. CONSTITUTION:A blow nozzle 11 for molten metal 12 is provided above a revolving roller 10 for rapid cooling formed of a metal of small heat conductivity such as vanadium carbide super hard alloy or other and a revolving roller 13 for rolling which is opposed to the lateral side of the roller 10 by having a specified spacing, whereby the amorphous metal thin strip producing device is produced. A heating device 14 such as nichrome wires, etc. is provided to the revolving roller 13 for rolling, by which the surface of the roller 13 is heated from the glass transition point of the molten metal up to the crystallization temperature. When the revolving roller 10 for rapid cooling is formed of the metal of high heat conductivity such as WC-TiC-Co base super hard alloys, the overcooling of the molten metal 12 is prevented by providing the heating device such as nichrome wires 14, etc.
