Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent generation of surface cracks and internal cracks, by continuing the slow cooling at the specified cooling rate from the melting and solidification of the metal till arriving at the just front of the warming zone, and following to this, by carrying out the hot rolling pass for the steel billet after it is warmed at the specified temperature range for the specified period of time. CONSTITUTION:The steel billet is moderately slow cooled at the rate of <=1 deg.C/ sec from the melting and solidification of the metal till arriving at the just front of the warming zone, in order to promote the spheroidization of the sheet type precipitations; following to this, the billet is warmed at the temperature region regulated to 950-1,300 deg.C for at least 10min for further promoting the spheroidization; after that, this steel billet is hot rolled; hereby, the generation of rolling cracks is restricted.
