PURPOSE:To charge and discharge in a treating liquid tank in horizontal movement without moving up and down the object to be treated, by providing a notch for passing the object in the treating liquid tank and installing a shutter moving up and down together with the treating liquid, when performing plating or other surface treatment. CONSTITUTION:Various treating solution tank for plating 1 is communicated with a solution storage tank 3 in the lower part by means of a discharge pipe 5 and a feed pipe 6. A notch 1a is provided in the side wall of the treating solution tank 1 in the direction of passing of the object to be treated, and a shutter 7 which moves up and down by buoyancy of the liquid is provided in a guide 8 in the inside of the tank. At the same time, the shutter 7 goes down to open the notch 1a, so that the object of treatment is transferred to a next process through this notch.
