Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively carry-out earth and sand from a barge by thrusting a bottom-opened barge for taking-out earth and sand into a hull of which draft can be adjusted by the tank inside and carrying-out earth and sand discharged by opening the bottom of the barge, outside the ship from a hopper to a belt conveyor.
CONSTITUTION: In the upper part of the hull 2 of which draft can be adjusted freely by controlling the amount of seawater in a float tank 3 formed inside, a gate plate and a passage 6 are formed so that a bottom opened barge 1 can penetrate-in. On the under surface at the stop position of the bottom opened barge, a feeding hopper 7 is installed, and with the lower part of the hopper, a belt conveyor 9 for guiding earth and sand outside the ship is engaged. Earth and sand conveyed by the bottom opened barge 1 are discharged onto the belt conveyor 9 through the feeding hopper 7 and conveyed outside the ship. Through repeated use of the bottom opened barge, even landing of a large amount of earth and sand is made possible.
