Abstract

PURPOSE: To change a powdery material into slurry and deliver it from a silo or the like, by providing a jet nozzle machine whose water ejecting direction can be altered.
CONSTITUTION: Valves 20bW20d are opened to change coal 10 in a well 5 into slurry by water ejection from an auxiliary jet nozzle 14 and deliver the slurry from an eductor 8. A valve 20a is then opened to project a high-pressure water jet from a jet nozzle 15 onto coal 10 in a vessel 1 into slurry and introduce it into the well 5 and deliver it from the eductor 8. A jet nozzle machine 6 is provided with a drive mechanism, which alters the direction of the water projection from the nozzle 15. The jet nozzle 15 is swung and revolved around a horizontal axis up and down in a range from an arrow 18a to another 18b at the same time when the nozzle machine itself 6 is continuously rotated around a vertical axis. The powdery coal 10 is thus efficiently changed into slurry and delivered.
