Abstract
PURPOSE: To place and lift off the object to be treated into and from the treating liquid tank without moving vertically, by providing a notch in the treating liquid tank so that the object to be treated may pass through and installing a shutter in the notch which moves up and down with the treating liquid level, when performing surface treatment such as plating.
CONSTITUTION: When performing surface treatment such as plating, a treating liquid tank 1 is communicated with an auxiliary tank 5 for liquid level adjustement disposed in an upper position and a storage tank 12 for the leaked liquid. A notch 1a is provided in the side wall of the treating liquid tank 1 in the direction of passing of the object to be treated, and a shutter 3 which moves up and down by the buoyancy of the liquid in a inside guide 4 is provided. The pressure inside the auxiliary tank 5 is reduced by a vacuum tank 10 to suck up the liquid in the treating liquid tank 1. As a result, the liquid level in the tank 1 is lowered and the shutter 3 is set down to open the notch 1a, so that the object to be treated enters the tank 1 in horizontal movement. Next, an electromagnetic valve 8 is closed, and a valve 6 of an exhaust pipe 7 is opened to set the tank 5 to atmospheric pressure, thereby feeding the liquid into the tank 1. At the same time, the shutter 3 goes up to close the notch 1a to treat the object with the liquid. By repeating this operation, the tank 1 is emptied, and the notch 1a is opened, then the object is transferred to a next process.
