Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a highly-resolvable and clear recording dot easily under high velocity by a method wherein a discharge current is discharged between a source of fixed potential connected to an intermediate resistance layer and a recording electrode through the intermediary of a recording layer and a conductive channel along the surface of the intermediate resistance layer. CONSTITUTION:A conduction resistance layer 20 is arranged in the middle between a recording layer 19 constituted by a dielectric material and an insulating layer 21 constituted by an insulator and a pulse voltage from the generator 23 of the pulse voltage to which one end of the resistance layer 20 is grounded is impressed on a recording electrode 22. In this way, a closed circuit through which a discharge current runs as shown with a dotted line is provided and, by changing the surface resistance value R of the conductive resistance layer 20, such factors causing the deterioration of the resolution of any image to be recorded as the extension, fading, blot etc. of the dot of a electrostatic latent image in the recording layer 19 can be removed with case.
