Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the small sized AC switch without thermal runaway, by rectifying and smoothing the input pulse train to the field effect transistor. CONSTITUTION:The part between the drain electrodes of two FETs 1, 2 of the same conduction type in which the gate and the source are commonly connected and a shunt resistor is provided between the gate and the source, is taken as switched terminal. The output terminal of the drive pulse power supply 13 and the gate of FET are connected with the capacitors 6 and 7. The output of the capacitors 6, 7 is rectified and smoother at the diode 10 and the resistor 12. Thus, the output from the power supply 14 coupled to the load 15 in the switched circuit can be switched with the pulse train of the drive pulse power supply 13 and small size and circuit integration can be made easy since the elements such as transformers are not used.
