Abstract

PURPOSE:To equivalently from 2-terminal field effect transistor rectifying circuit without using a drive system by a transformer a rectifying circuit using an FET by using a voltage between the source and the drain of the FET as the power voltage and synchronizing drive voltage for a controlling circuit. CONSTITUTION:The voltage between the source and the drain of an FET is used as the power voltage and synchronizing drive voltage for the controlling circuit for the FET used as a rectifier, and the output voltage of the controlling circuit is used as the gate voltage of the FET. For example, a rectifying FET203 and the controlling circuit 205 are connected, as shown, between the AC power source 201 and the load 204. In the negative half cycle the FET206 is ON at the point A, and the FET205 is OFF, so that the rectifying FET103 becomes OFF, and in the positive half cycle the FET106 is OFF at the point A, the FET207 is ON, and the rectifying FET203 becomes ON, and the rectifying operation is performed between the points A and C as the two-terminal diode.
