Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of a snubber circuit, by connecting the series circuit of a diode and a first capacitor in parallel to one of main switching elements. CONSTITUTION:A two-transistor forward type switching regulator is constituted of a transformer T1, a driving transformer T2, main switching elements or field effect transistors (FET) Q1, Q2, a drive control circuit 25 and the like. The induced voltage of the secondary winding of the transformer T1 is rectified, smoothed and outputted while the output is detected by said control circuit 25 to control the ON/OFF period of the FETs Q1, Q2. In this case, a snubber circuit 20 is constituted of first and second capacitors C1, C2, the FET Q3, driven in synchronized with the FETs Q1, Q2, and the like. When the FET Q3 is put ON, a resonance current is conducted through a resonance circuit, consisting of a choke coil L1 and the capacitors C1, C2.
