Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a switching loss by inhibiting a forward current of a Zener diode by a diode when a secondary side output of a saturable transformer is inverted to turn off a switching element. CONSTITUTION:A switching power supply circuit connects one end of a primary winding L1 of a main transformer 1 to the earth through source drains of a switching element 3 by a MOS-FET transistor, and supplies a load with output voltage by interrupting a flow of current in this primary winding L1 by the transistor FET3 through a secondary winding L2 and a diode D1 or the like. Providing a feedback winding Lb in the transformer 1, this feedback winding Lb is connected to a primary winding of a satuable transformer 2 through a coupled circuit 4 by a parallel circuit or the like of a capacitor C2 and a resistor R1, thus forming a loop circuit. A series circuit or the like of a diode D4 and a Zener diode ZD1 is provided between gate sources of the transistor FET3. By the circuit thus obtained, large fluctuating input and load can be absorbed in a primary side converter part.
