Abstract

PURPOSE:To restrain a surge voltage, by connecting the series circuit of a diode and a first capacitor in parallel to a main switching element. CONSTITUTION:A two-transistor forward type switching regulator is constituted of a transformer T1, a driving transformer T2, main switching elements or field effect transistors Q1, Q2, snubber circuits 10a, 10b, a drive control circuit 15 and the like. A voltage, induced in the secondary winding of the transformer T1, is rectified, smoothed and outputted while the ON/OFF periods of the field effect transistors Q1 Q2 are controlled by said control circuit 15 so that the outputted voltage becomes a set value. In this case, the snubber circuits 10a, 10b are constituted of first diodes D1a, D1b, first capacitors C1a, C1b, choke coils L1a, L1b and the like, which are provided in parallel to the field effect transistors Q1, Q2. According to this constitution, a voltage, generated by accumulated energy upon the turn-off of the field effect transistors Q1, Q2, is fed back to a DC power source.
